So one topic I haven't even mentioned yet on this blog is how I make money. I don't really make much gold and its more of in game relaxation for me if nothing else. I was thinking about some interesting ways that I could make gold, and just how I could transfer those thoughts to paper. I wanted something that anyone could do, to make some extra money to play with. I also felt the need to explain each step along the way, so someone else could possibly follow my recipe and get somewhat the same results. Server dependent of course. I came up with:
How I made X gold - The Five gold challenge:
Basically I will be starting with 5g and turning that into however much I can flipping on the ah, trading items, etcetera.
Rules are as follows:
Start with only - 5G, nothing else (no bags either) on a brand new toon. I can spend that gold on whatever I want, as long as I feel I can make some of it back. Its an Experiment.
I can't use any of my other characters gold, professions, or any else they have to offer. - Only this new bank toon. ( I can however use other toon's professions, ie guildies, or /1 trade folk - if I want something crafted)
I can't spend the gold on any of my main characters until A) I quit making money, because of a certain reason - Bored, quit the game, etc. B) I hit 25k gold on that toon.*
*once I do hit the 25k mark I can choose to either keep going with the experiment or spend the gold.
I will be giving weekly totals for gold spent, and earned. I will also be posing in depth about what I sold during the week.
So check back next Sunday for my first post and we will see how it all went.
