Day 1 -
Sunday - 11/25/2012 - Spend my first five gold on trying to get vendor items off the ah as there was not much else I saw that I could flip for under 15g per stack at the current time. A slow start, yet a start none the less. Exercising patience will help me out. I checked later in the day and found that I lost the bids on the items, I reinvested the some of the remainder into 1x Crocolisk Meat for 34 silver and 1x Witchberries for 4 silver.
Day 2 -
Monday - I posted the Witchberries I got yesterday for 1g and the Crocolisk Meat for 83 silver. After looking over the AH I found a few deals that I could buy and possibly make some profit - Clefthoof Meat @ 32 silver per and Gooey Spider Legs @ 97 copper per stack of 8 - I bought them out and reposted - 15s per for the spider legs and 50s for each Clefthoof Meat.
At this point I have a total of 1g 26 silver - I am going to bid on a few items and see if I can't win them to resell. Black Diamond - 50C, 8x Infinite Dust - 5s, 6x Soul Dust - 6s, 1x Glyph of Beacon of Light - 1s 50c - Hopefully I win some of those auctions because for 13 silver I could make a great profit! I then did a vendor scan, bidding on the cheapest auction - Arcane Power with 12 hours left, only 3 silver 75 copper for a stack of 18.
At the end of day 2, I am really hoping for some good bids and sales otherwise....this could get very challenging. 5 Gold really doesn't get you alot of wiggle room.
Day 3 -
Tuesday - After checking my mails, I won the soul dust, Arcane powder, Black Diamond and Primal Nether - I got outbid on the Infinite Dust and Glyph. Can't win them all. My auctions for spider legs expired but they are pretty cheap to re post. Hopefully someone is going to level cooking as they level instead of going to half hill and winning the game. So I sold my Powder and Nether to vendor and am currently sitting on 3g 21s, almost half way back to my 5g start, with knowledge to boot.
Posted my Soul Dust, Black Diamond and Spider legs - Now to Scan for anything worthwhile!
Got a bid on a Glinting Nightstone for a whopping....4s profit! Every little bit helps...
Checked for resale items - Bid on a few auctions, not much buying out at this moment. I did happen to spot an auction for a stack of Bruiseweed for Bid @ 7s 50c which is should be able to flip pretty well. At the same time a ran into 1 piece of Khorium Ore - Bid @ 56s and 7x Linen Cloth @ 7s 35c - Over all not bad for spending less than a gold! Looking forward to seeing if I can get my hands on some of these items, if I can it could be great profit!
I did an undercut scan and only found that my Clefthoof Meat is being undercut, I don't want to cancel to repost because I think if I hold out it could go up a tiny bit. Right now I am seriously counting coppers!
Looking at the five gold mark soon though! I will make it rain with those five gold pieces! LOL.
Day 4 -
Wednesday - Checked my mails and collected a total of 15g 28s - Sold all the Soul Dust @ 2g 36s per and sold the Witchberries for 1g 1s - Won the Khorium ore and Linen Cloth bids! My total gold is up to 16g 80s 4c!
I then scanned the ah as normal looking for any good deals - Found a Vilerend Slicer on my vendor scan that could sell upwards of 50g so I bid on that one for 1g 21s - Plus its a vendor scan!
I checked my resale scan results and got some cheap bids - I want to keep my overhead costs low at this point as I am still under 100 total liquid gold to spend. Patience is key! Once I can get a little bit more liquid cash I can take a little larger chances on some higher quality items.
Bid on some 1x Firebloom @ 3s - Red Blossom Leek @ 4s 50c - 5x Runecloth @ 29s 25c - 2x Black Vitriol @ 29s 25c - and 4x Sanguine Hibiscus @ 24s
Over all, not a bad day on the AH! See if I can win some of these bids tomorrow!
Before I stopped I checked for undercuts and my Black Diamond was undercut so I canceled it and posted again @ 1g 98s - Then I posted my Khorium Ore @ 24g 31c followed by the Linen Cloth @ 99s each.
I also posted my Crocolisk Meat and Clefthoof Meat @ 1g 22s and 40s per. At the end of this session I am still sitting pretty good @ 14g 34s 92c!
Day 5 -
Thursday - 33g 37s and 2c in the mail today - Sold the Linen Cloth and Khorium Ore and Black Diamond - Lost the Bid on the Leeks, Vilerend Slicer, and runecloth.
Did a vendor search and bid on everything I could spent 28g on bids - I then looked at the resale tab and found some copper ore @ 10s per piece - bought all of it out 1stack and 12 pieces - totaling 3g 20s and reposted @ 48s per.
Day 6 -
Friday - Sold all the Copper ore, won the Black Vitriol for resale. Total gold - 55g 87s 61c
Searched the ah for vendor - Found some good deals for resale but they were bids so I will have to wait.
I then searched for resale with my 21g left after vendor search - Looking at the bids first got 2 stacks of Linen Cloth @ 5s each - Silk Cloth x10 @ 22s - 2x Black Vitriol @ 28s - 5x Swiftthistle @ 1g 1s 72c - Tigerseye x 9 @ 70s 30c each - Volatile life x12 @ 57s 50c each.
Bought out 2x Nightmare Vine @ 75s - 3x Khadgar's Whisker @ 23s 55c
I posted my 2x Black Vitriol @ 93s each - Nightmare Vine @ 5g 25s each and Khadgar's Whisker @ 9s 95c per
As of day 6 My total gold Acquired is 80g - not bad for a noob with 5 gold to spare. Once I break 100g I can start moving into more profitable things! Looking forward to that next week for sure.
Day 7 -
Saturday - Collected my bids, won a few things for vendor - the rest I was outbid on although I did grab some Elementium Bars x5 for 85s so I am planning on listing them @ 15g per piece undercutting all competition right now! I vendored all the other stuff because it was mostly just not worth the hassle of relisting and having it not sell - I am going to even go as far to say if my Crocolisk Meat and Clefthoof Meat don't sell tonight I am just going to vendor those as well because I am at the threshold of losing profit just relisting them endlessly if they won't sell at all... Sure, Timing is good...but there has to be a demand and I am really just not seeing it - At least right now. As for my newly acquired Swiftthistle - The market is flooded right now and I can't sell at a profit so I will just have to wait that one out, I will check tomorrow and see if I can get a post in.
I spent 46g on vendor searching - most are under the 2h mark so hopefully I will win them! I really can't complain about gaining money from selling to a vendor even if I have to wait a few hours!
Day 8 -
Sunday - I sold the Clefthoof Meat, so that is good. I got outbid on most of my items though that I was bidding on. I also sold the Nightmare Vine for 10g. As today is sunday that means time for a recap! I will be using the gold amount currently in my bags which is 40g 45s 69c - When starting with five gold, you can't do much. The biggest thing I have learned from this past week is to look into who is going to buy your item, if you put it up for sale. It can be very challenging to sell certain items these days because they are getting simply phased out. You really have to patient with the slow sellers.
