Attack of the Nether Bag Madness!

Hello everyone,

As of yesterday I started walling the Netherweave Bag market as an experiment to hone my AH PvP skills for use in other markets.

I logged on to check my progress today and found I sold 2 bags from my lowest wall being 25g so I put up two more to replace the ones that sold but I was still the lowest seller. I looked at the prices of cloth and found some I could buy under my max price of 20g. I bought all of the cloth out and made it into bags to finish my stockpile.

*The plan from here:

Keep the existing walls intact - Repost for each that sells - Even if they buy out my 25g bags...I make a profit - next they have to deal with my 35 and so on.

Force low profits to the other players in the market - This will happen on auto pilot!

Auto Pilot my way to victory - Only posting every 48 hours is pretty easy. Plus the fact that I only am posting 70 bags from two toons which takes less than 5 minutes.

Something else to note: I am currently gaining profit from each sale, so in theory - Let's say all my 25g bags sell and the new lowest price is 35g - Competition comes running in and undercuts my 35g wall. - This doesn't matter to me because I paid for posting with my first wall while still making some profits!

*(My goal is to not gain large profits from this exercise but to push the market down to slowly rid competition - Gaining profit is a bonus that is guaranteed even if I sell my bags all for 25g or even 22g - Sure my profits are shot but I am still making my point. )

A quick kill VS a slow much more painful one...I plan on running my walls for as long as I can, until my stock is bought out which could take awhile - Currently I have enough bags for my current set up of 70 bags x2 - Although I might be changing my configuration next posting cycle for more longevity.

First to make this plan work, I needed to look at the huge gaping hole in the defense.

I can't fully control the supply of the cloth or the prices they decide to sell it for. I also don't want to spend more gold on cloth. ( I need to spend it stocking up on Ghost iron!!!!)

So, I am going to stop buying cloth. This will allow my competition to get their cloth at a cheaper price. The main thing about the bag's is that they take forever to craft, a built in defense.

They can get the cheap cloth, and very low profits from it as well. My walls are very deep and I am not planning on going anywhere until I sell out...I am certain they will get fed up very quickly, having to craft and craft and craft for a few gold. I might be wrong, though. Just have to wait and see. We shall cross that bridge when we get there.

Thanks for stopping by!
